Portsmouth Guildhall

I met with the Southampton Urban Sketchers for a sketch crawl in Portsmouth. The weather was perfect for outdoor drawing and several of us tackled the Guildhall. In my sketch the tower ended up a bit stunted but I was pleased to be able to fit most of the details in!

    1. I’ve been expending all my energy in training for a marathon (this Sunday!!) and that seems to deplete my creative reserves. I’ve got a few sketching projects coming up so I won’t be silent for so long…

  1. Dearest Dr T, Your sketching gets better and better even if the classical columns are a bit wonky [but maybe they are – what a pompous building for Portsmouth]!! People at Choral Holidays in Yorkshire were still talking about your sketches of York last year!! Sorry you won’t be at Rochester but I guess you have something rather energy-sapping to do this weekend ! Good luck with the marathon. See you next Saturday in Skripalbury, Love, rat xxxx
